2024 GGBC Participants
The 2024 class braved the heat on the field and worked hard. Due to overnight weather and the potential for some storms the HS teams were not able to participate with us at camp, however we got some good on field time to walk through positioning and get some good time with dedicated positional instructors.

During the 2023 football season, it became apparent to me that we are failing our new(er) and veteran officials. We have our clinics, which all tend to be continuing education in specific areas, however those don't address the issue of teaching the newer officials how to officiate or the philosophies on how to manage game play without using a flag. We just expect a newbie to "get reps" and ask questions. The bottom line is that newer officials don't know what they don't know, and it is incumbent on us to show them the way if we want to retain them.

Since August of 2023 I have been developing this camp. The GGBC is not just another clinic. GGBC is a full one-day camp that will teach officials the basics of what, where, why, and how.

We will have classroom education but will have an on-field instruction focus. Cadets will participate in on-field drills and officiating live play with high school teams participating in 11-on11 action. Our target is ANY official or whole crew who wants to get better and hone their skills.
